Medical Coverage
Medical Coverage is to ensure that your medical expenses are paid in case you need treatment while travelling.

Travel Insurance
Medical coverage and Travel Insurance might be sold together however, they are different. Travel insurance or Travel Interruption/Cancellation Insurance is designed to help you retrieve any costs that might result out of your trip being cancelled, you getting sick prior to traveling, lost baggage, or other unforeseen events. This is generally a useful coverage. But be aware that policies vary. Do your research to find a policy that works for your specific trip.

Please note that Travel/Flight Insurance is not a reimbursable expense under Tufts' Travel Expense Policy (http://finance.tufts.edu/accpay/tufts-travel-policy/#NonReimbursable).

Travel Assistance
Travel Assistance is a service provided to help you prepare for your travel and deal with the unexpected. Tufts University has partnered with International SOS to provide the best possible assistance for all our Tufts Travelers. Should you need assistance abroad, simply call International SOS to help set up doctors' appointments, arrange for transport, etc. To be eligible, you have to be on a Tufts-related trip.
